Xiaohua Sheng, PhD

Co-founder, President, Principal Statistical Consultant

Xiaohua Sheng, Ph.D., is an experienced industry statistician. He co-founded DuBu Research LLC in 2021 with Joya He. Their shared vision is to create a biometrics-focused CRO and partner with biotechnology companies to advance the drug development process.

Xiaohua has 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience from both sponsor and CRO sides and held various leadership roles at different organizations. Prior to DuBu, he was the Global Head of Biostatistics of Premier Research, where he oversaw the global operations of statisticians and programmers from various countries and regions. Before Premier Research, Xiaohua was the Head of Biostatistics for ClinChoice, where he managed and led US statisticians to ensure high quality quantitative support to clinical programs from various clients in different therapeutic areas.

Xiaohua also has extensive lead statistician experience through his tenure with ClinChoice, Sanofi, and Medpace. He led all statistical activities for multiple clinical development programs and the successful BLA/NDA/sBLA submission for different indications. He served as the independent reporting statistician for Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs) overseeing multinational trials in CNS and infectious disease/vaccine areas.

Xiaohua received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from University of Cincinnati, and his bachelor’s degree in Genetics from Fudan University in China.
